Passing your practical driving test on the very first attempt is always an incredible achievement. But when you finish a 40-minute drive with just one single minor driving fault on your sheet, you aren’t just passing—you are absolutely dominating the road!
A massive congratulations to Jodie from Mountsorrel, who put in a near-flawless performance this morning to secure her Automatic Driving Test FIRST TIME over at the Melton Mowbray Test Centre! 🏆🚙💨
Jodie stayed completely calm, relied on her excellent training, and delivered an exceptionally safe, controlled drive alongside her instructor, Kieran.
From the Quarry to the Open Road
Jodie lives and works locally right here at the Mountsorrel Quarry, but outside of her day job, she has a massive passion for travelling and exploring the world.
Up until today, planning those big trips meant working around public transport, tight timetables, or relying on others for lifts. But now that those 'L' plates are officially gone, the world has just become a whole lot smaller. Passing her automatic test gives Jodie the ultimate freedom to pack up, head out, and drive wherever her wanderlust takes her next—whether that's exploring new corners of the UK or renting a car on a beach abroad! 🗺️✈️

After years of putting it off and making excuses I finally went ahead and took the plunge. Massive thanks to Kieran my driving instructor.
